In the previous chapters, we unfolded a mysterious exhibition of Japanese auto racing events. Several “Fast&Furious” actors participated in these events. This time, we will discuss one of the most exciting places. You can chill out there with your friends or family members. This place is Suzuka Circuit.

Suzuki Circuit is an International Racing course track which is based in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture. Soichiro Honda founded this place. He is the founder of Honda Motor. His famous statement “cars will not improve unless they are raced” has served as a foundation of this creation. Japan’s first ever racing course with a length of 5807 km is renowned for its technical complexity, and dramatic laps with high-speed corners where drivers must dodge instantly. It is appreciated, especially, by motorsport enthusiasts. This place is phenomenal, because enthusiasts of all ages are able to take part in this circuit as a challenger. Basically, tiny electric cars such as in this photo will be distributed.

What is more thrilling is that all of these cars are provided with a special steering wheel and it is almost impossible to differentiate it from the standard steering wheels used in Formula 1. In this challenge, participants are required to complete several missions.

Eventually, they will be informed about their skills by evaluating their presence in these missions (participants will get an evaluation at the end of the challenge). Not only older people can enjoy the thrill of real racing events, but this opportunity is open to kids as well.
Suzuka Circuit has been the host of Formula 1 in Japan since 1987 (except for a few years when this place was replaced by Fuji Speedway). This circuit contains an automobile amusement park where people can try to drive cars by themselves.

Notably, this racing circuit has a figure-8 configuration and the track is crossed by itself via an overpass and it involves 18 corners integrating technical sections with a high speed.

If you look at the layout of this circuit, you can see a variety of complex routes posture, for example, a route called S-Curves is insane even for the professional drivers. Because, drivers must be extremely careful as they will be encountering a series of fast, curved turns and their precision/reaction is going to be revised along the way.
When it comes to the racing events held at Suzuka Circuit apart from the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix, events such as Suzuka 8 Hours, Super Formula and Super GT are scheduled to be at this circuit.

Suzuka 8 Hours is an embodiment of racing motorcycle drivers stepping over extreme fatigue and it is also called an endurance challenge. Because, unlike standard races which finish within an hour, Suzuka 8 Hours lasts as its title says – 8 consecutive hours. While retaining high precision, riders must be more attentive for extended periods. Also, this event mainly occurs in a scorching heat – peak summer.

Just imagine, riding on your motorcycle for 8 hours in 35°C+ heat and humid conditions, you must be well-trained in order to resist this weather and your agility will be tested on these conditions (do not forget that you must run through high-speed corners such as S-Curves or 130R.
Participating is allowed when a team has 3 riders. This event is of great importance as it attracts global leaders such as MotoGP or World Superbike (WSBK). In addition, teams like Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda, and Yamaha will also position their riders in this field and they will have a clash with top-tier motorcycle riders coming from the rest of the world.

Super Formula is the next event at this circuit, and this event is deemed as a season opener. Annually, it occurs on 8-9 March and it lasts around 75 minutes with 31 laps. Super Formula represents the fastest vehicles after F1.

Super GT is a series of consecutive racing events and it has a total of 8 rounds taking place in various places around Japan. For instance, Suzuka Circuit will host the 5th round which will take place on August 23-24, 2025. The format and duration of this event depends on the period, for instance it usually covers a distance of 300 km with 52 laps. However, the 2023 Super GT lasted a bit more than this standard format as it had a distance of 336.81 km with 58 laps.

Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix is the main event as it has everything to offer to motorsport enthusiasts. The fastest vehicles, the most advanced steering wheels with numerous buttons, phenomenal reaction and insane skills unleashed by drivers.

The most famous drivers such as Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen are going to take part in this event.going to take part in this event. This event is scheduled for 4-6 April and it covers a total of a total of 53 laps at Suzuka Circuit. In the first days, participants have to go through the complex practice and qualifying process. As soon as qualifiers will be defined, a preparation for the main race starts.

Motopia is a famous amusement park based in Suzuka Circuit and it has a variety of facilities positioned within its range. It is specifically designed for families that want to merge entertainment with an educational activity. Because, this park provides attractions that serve as a foundation for those children who want to step into the racing world. An event called “Circuit Challenger” is held and open to everyone who wants to experience how it feels to be a rider in Formula 1. Apart from that, children can take advantage of the Putti Grand Prix, a go-kart styled racing event. Adventure Drive and Rocky Coaster are other typical attractions providing a thrilling atmosphere for visitors of all ages.
On the other hand, it has additional entertaining facilities such as Honda Racing Gallery demonstrating the Honda’s historical significance and highlights and Natural Hot Springs “the SPA” offering a soothing experience of hot springs.
